 Length of Time in Business: In 2005,the Northeast Indiana Workforce Investment Board (NIWIB) was transformed into the Northeast Indiana Regional Workforce Board and it procured a Regional Operator to staff the board and manage the regional workforce development system known as WorkOne Northeast. At that time, Partners for Workforce Solutions went through a very similar change. Having operated as NIWIB since 2001, board staff established a legal DBA under the NIWIB banner in 2006 and Partners for Workforce Solution (PWS) was officially created. In total, NIWIB and PWS as an organization has been in place for nearly 8 years, the last three of which have been under the PWS name. Collectively, the 8 member leadership team at PWS has over 110 years of combined experience in the management, oversight, and provision of workforce development services.

Statement of Intent: Partners for Workforce Solutions (PWS) assures the continued development of the WorkOne Northeast system into a world-class, business-driven workforce system that meets the needs of both employers and job seekers. PWS will accomplish this through the continued integration of WorkOne programs and funding streams into a seamless system that ensures full customer access to all WorkOne services. Moreover, PWS intends to increase the WorkOne Northeast System's focus on critical skills development activitties. This will include the design and delivery of innovative skills development services, a greater emphasis on the use of technology to support learning activities, and the development of additional demand-driven skills products that customers can access.
